Union Street Café's Pizza Tasting Event

On 6 February 2018, for one night only, Union Street Café will be showcasing a pizza trend taking hold in Italy, with a six-course pizza tasting menu.


The Italian trend sees fine dining and pizza making collide, as bespoke dough recipes are paired with finest ingredients. Italian dough expert, Matteo Attianese, will join Head Chef Davide Degiovanni, to create the dough bases for Davide’s authentic but modern Italian dishes.


The exclusive evening starts at 7pm, when Davide and Matteo, friends for nearly two decades, will welcome guests in the restaurant’s subterranean Olive Grove Bar. When dinner begins in the restaurant, the two chefs will guide diners through each dish on the menu, which includes ‘Fritta’ fried dough topped with crudo of tuna, turnip tops, chilli and bergamot and ‘Dolce’ a sweet dough topped with sheep’s ricotta, pistachio, lemon and chocolate.
