Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Keeping the Kids Entertained this Easter

With the school Easter holidays about to start (for many kids the holidays run from 8th April- 22nd April) it’s time to start planning how you’ll keep them entertained. Thankfully, there’s a plethora of activities for kids to do in London during the school holidays and over the Easter weekend. Here’s a selection of the best places to take children across the city.
Battersea Park Children’s Zoo
If you’re in South West London, then Battersea Park is always a great place to take the children for a run around. While you’re there, why not head over to Battersea Park Children’s Zoo, where you and the little ones can see lemurs, otters, meerkats and more up close. The keepers often do child-friendly educational talks and throughout the Easter holidays you can do an Easter Egg hunt and discover which animals are hiding Easter Eggs in their enclosures. For under twos, the zoo is free, and for 2-16 years olds it’s just £7.95.
If you’re after a bite to eat after visiting the zoo, then London House is just a short walk away. Here you can enjoy light bites, a seasonal set menu, and our kids menu. If you join us on Easter Sunday, the children can enjoy an eggciting Easter Egg hunt in the garden, as well as painting their own eggs at the tables.
Theatre Royal Haymarket
This Easter, the Theatre Royal Haymarket in the West End is putting on a performance of ‘Where is Peter Rabbit’. Based on Beatrix Potter’s original books, this is a theatrical puppet show with original songs and a cast including Miriam Margolyes and Griff Rhys Jones. All of the childhood favourites are included – from Jemima Puddle-Duck and Mrs. Tiggy Winkle, to Peter Rabbit himself. The production is very child friendly and is an hour long with no breaks, so the little ones don’t get overwhelmed. You can book tickets here.
Easter Egg Hunts
There are lots of Easter Egg hunts going on around London this year – including many in our restaurants! The Lindt Gold Bunny hunt is back for another year at Kensington Palace. When you arrive at the palace, you’ll be given a trail map and the children can follow the clues to find golden bunny statues dotted around the palace and gardens. Once they’ve solved the challenges, they’ll get a delicious chocolatey reward!
The National Trust, in partnership with Cadburys, are putting on over 260 Cadburys Easter Egg Hunts in different locations, many of which are in London. There’s one at Ham House in Richmond, another at Fenton House in Hampstead, and Sutton House in Hackney.

If you’re looking for Easter activities to keep the kids entertained while you dine over Easter weekend, then many of our restaurants across London are putting on fun egg hunts and painting activities. Bread Street Kitchen in The City will have an Egg hunt, magician and face painting on Easter Sunday, and Heddon Street Kitchen will also have multiple egg hunts throughout the afternoon and face painting on Sunday 21 April.
Other Easter Egg hunts will be taking place at maze Grill Mayfair, maze Grill Park Walk in Chelsea, the York & Albany in Camden, and The Narrow in Limehouse.
Union Street Café in Southwark will be encouraging creativity and fun with Easter Egg painting on Easter Sunday!
