Summer at Bread Street Kitchen
This summer visit a garden oasis in the heart of the city at Bread Street Kitchen’s The Allotment. Forget the urban sprawl and find yourself in an allotment with growing herbs, fruit trees and picnic benches to keep you company.
Your dining choices will be handpicked from the best of quintessentially British garden and allotment produce. Items on the menu will include an English garden salad, a chilled pea and mint soup, plus a Bombay Sapphire & Tonic sorbet.
Meanwhile, there will be plenty of garden-inspired cocktails to rehydrate you in the summer heat. Cocktail highlights include a Bombay gin-based Garden Spritz, a Mint Paloma and a Wimbledon Summer Cup. Plus, there will be mocktails on offer, including a blueberry and cucumber cooler and a strawberry and basil crush.
The pop-up will also feature a greenhouse-inspired private dining area, a wonderful spot for enjoying an innovative menu which celebrates one of the most-loved products of the garden: the tomato. The private dining menu includes dishes like tomato tartare, a basil brûlée with tomato jam, as well as a tomato and salsa verde focaccia.
On weekends chefs will run special kids ‘pick your own’ pizza masterclasses, giving children the option to explore The Allotment, select their own pizza toppings and learn about how the natural produce is grown. Meanwhile, parents can relax with a delicious champagne brunch.
The Allotment will also feature a big screen to show some of the best of this summer’s sporting events including Wimbledon and the Tour de France, perfectly accompanied with a botanical cocktail in hand. Plus, make your own memories at The Allotment in the garden shed photo booth, the perfect space to pose with all your friends.
If you want to escape London life without grabbing your gardening gear, get going to The Allotment at Bread Street Kitchen.
