Massimiliano, the restaurant manager at London House, is originally from Sarzana in Italy and has been involved in food and the hospitality industry for well over a decade. In 2004, he finished his diploma at Hospitality school in Northern Italy. After this, he continued his studies in Parma, achieving a Masters in Gastronomic Science in 2007.
Sarzana is close to the famously beautiful area of 5 Terre in Italy, and Massimiliano has worked in some of the most illustrious and iconic restaurants in that area, hugely increasing his passion and understanding of food, wine and a proper guest experience. He has been with Gordon Ramsay restaurants since 2013, when he joined as a Commis at York and Albany. This was one of the best moments in his career, and since then he has worked hard to climb the ladder to the point where he is managing the ‘fantastic team at London House’.
His favourite thing about hospitality is ensuring that he and his team ‘deliver the best customer service ever experienced to all guests and make sure they're all returning to dine with us’. He likes to make sure that the whole team are involved in creating this experience, so that guests can dine ‘in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where their needs are looked after by the entire team from the initial welcome to last farewell’.
His favourite dish on the London House menu is traditional fish and chips – saying that you can go wrong with the crunchy batter and magisterially cooked hand cut chips! The simplicity and superb quality of the dish ‘always delivers the best to every palate’.
When Massimiliano isn’t at London House, he loves cars and going on track-days where he can push his adrenaline to the limit and try to beat his lap times. Her also enjoys travelling around the UK and visiting other restaurants to compare the experiences he has there to the experiences of his guests at London House.
