Union Street Cafe's
Union Street Café Pizza Tasting Menu, in collaboration with Matteo Attianese
This February Union Street Café will be creating a six-course pizza menu, showcasing a gourmet pizza trend taking hold in Italy and coinciding with our celebrations of National Pizza Day on 9th February 2018.
The new trend sees bespoke dough recipes paired with the finest ingredients. Italian dough expert, Matteo Attianese, will join Union Street Café Head Chef and old-friend Davide Degiovanni for one night only, to create unique dough bases for Davide’s dishes.
Having first worked together seventeen years ago, Davide Degiovanni and Matteo Attianese are reuniting for an unforgettable evening, serving dishes of ‘Fritta’, fried pizza dough topped with crudo of tuna, turnip tops, chilli and bergamot, ‘Dal Mare’ with Mediterranean octopus, stracciatella and n’duja and Dolce, a sweet dough topped with sheep’s ricotta, pistachio, lemon and chocolate.
Davide and Matteo will welcome guests as if they are welcoming them into their homes as pre-dinner drinks are served in the subterranean Olive Grove Bar. When dinner begins in the restaurant, the two chefs will guide diners through each dish on the menu, immersing them in the world in innovative Italian cuisine.
The event takes place on Tuesday 6 February from 7pm.
The six-course tasting menu is priced at £35 per person including an aperitivo cocktail, with beer and cider pairings for an additional £15.
We look forward to hosting you at this unforgettable experience.
